Sadiq Daba, ace actor and broadcaster, is dead

  It was gathered that the film star, known for his role in ‘Cock Crow at Dawn,’ an NTA drama series, died on Wednesday evening. The ace actor breathed his last at the Lagos state university teaching hospital (LASUTH), although details of his death remain sketchy as of the time of this report. Daba’s death comes after he had battled with leukemia and prostate cancer for years. He, however, dismissed  death rumours  about him in 2017 shortly after he was diagnosed with the disease. “I am not dead nor dying I!! Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, is under fire over  his comment on Wednesday that hoodlums who invaded his palace during the #EndSARS protest stole his $2 million and N17 million. Akinolu, who spoke at the Glover Hall Memorial Commissioning, Lagos on Wednesday, lamented the devastation inflicted on Lagos by the protesters, including his palace.   Foodstuff traders meet Yahaya Bello, Fani-Kayode end supply embargo to Southern Nigeria The Northern Cattle and foodstuff traders have agreed to resumed foodstuff supplies to southern Nigeria, following the intervention of Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi and a former aviation minister, Mr Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK). The traders, grouped as Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria spoke to newsmen late on Wednesday in Abuja after lifting their food supply embargo. The Chairman of the group, Mr Mohammed Tahir, said the association had embarked on the strike in a bid to stop food and cattle supplies to Nigeria’s South-West, South-East and South-South. Tahir said, however, that the association had decided to resume supplies, following appeals by Bello and other prominent Nigerians, who had been pleading with the traders.
