Matthijs de Ligt 'agrees five-year, £10.75m-a-season deal with Juventus as Dutch starlet closes in on £62m transfer from Ajax'

Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt has reportedly agreed personal terms with Juventus as his move to Serie A edges ever closer. The Dutch starlet has attracted interest from the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain but now looks set to join Juventus after finalising personal terms worth £10.75million a season over five years. Reports in Italy claim Juve have yet to agree a fee with Ajax for De Ligt, but that his proposed five-year contract is set to include a release clause worth around £135m. According to Goal, his move will be finalised in the coming days, with the fee expected to be at least £62m. De Ligt has developed into one of the most sought-after players in Europe after a stunning breakout season in which he led a young Ajax side to within moments of the Champions League final. Barcelona had been touted as a possible destination for the defender, whose Ajax and Holland team-mate Frenkie de Jong has already moved to the Nou Camp. Manchester United were also keen on bolstering their defence by signing the 19-year-old, who is represented by super agent Mino Raiola. A move to Italy deal looked in jeopardy until Raiola's transfer ban was lifted and some reports suggest PSG remain in the race for the defender, with Juventus and Ajax yet to find common ground over a fee. But it appears his heart is set on a move to Serie A, with Italian media claiming he has agreed a deal worth around £7.2m a year, plus add-ons. It comes after the defender revealed Cristiano Ronaldo told him to join Juve following the Nations League final in Portugal. De Ligt's side suffered a 1-0 defeat at the Estadio Dragao but he was seen laughing with Ronaldo after the final whistle. When asked what the conversation was about, he revealed that the legendary forward was trying to recruit him for the Italian champions. 'He asked me to come to Juventus,' the 19-year-old told NOS. 'I was a little shocked by that question, that's why I laughed. I didn't understand him at first.'

Cryptocurrencies: Why Nigeria is a global leader in Bitcoin trade

Instead, the 34-year-old ended up in a series of odd jobs earning the minimum wage to survive - a typical story for many young Nigerians who are just trying to get by. It was not until 2016 that online adverts for Bitcoin piqued his interest and he began his cryptocurrency journey. "I started intensive research," Mr Fadugbagbe told the BBC. "I was spending hours every day watching videos on YouTube and reading articles about Bitcoin. I didn't have much money so I started with $100 to $200." At the time that we spoke, Mr Fadugbagbe, who now trades full time and teaches budding investors, said he had cryptocurrency worth more than $200,000 (£140,000) in his possess...
